Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the movie Piano. Her career in acting started in Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. As a child, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th year play. When she was in the fifth grade due to mumps, she lost her hearing in her left ear. She did not allow that to stop her. As a teenager, Hunter studied drama and then moved into New York City. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to an unplanned encounter in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. As she relocated into Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get film roles. The role of a supporting actress was secured in Swing Shift. Her professional career spans over thirty years and she's appeared in numerous TV shows or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
