Allana Ferguson bio

Allana was selected to be a part of Australia at Rugby Sevens 2013, but subsequent knee injuries kept her on the sidelines. It took a few years for Allana to return back into playing in the league. Allana's first rugby league match for women was in 2015. She played well against Queensland and represented New South Wales. Allana added radio to the roster, and makes regular appearances as part of the 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana also holds a teaching qualification. Allana Ferguson is the only Australian to represent Australia in both rugby sevens and rugby league, in addition to touch. Jillaroos' star Allana Ferguson is required to put an abrupt ending to her rugby league career following a tear to her ACL a fourth time. Ferguson, who is 25, has previously suffered tears to the same ligaments at the age of 15, 17 and 20, when she was 17. A fourth tear indicated her playing days were over. Ferguson, JILLAROOS playmaker and fourth year ACL injury victim, was forced to retire early. Ferguson was injured in the month of November at a session of training. The Courier Mail confirmed that the news came earlier this week. Ferguson has been the face of women's rugby league over the last few seasons.
