Morgan starred on a video that was about AIDS recognition and treatment, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the money were donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the driving force behind many fund-raising campaigns for the spread of the disease. She also addressed a Congressional special committee on AIDS education. She sits member of the board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop asked her at times to take his place at AIDS activities. And she co-hosted a AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS on Nightline. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began by presenting Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller which was produced exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network's history.
